Shizuoka has a little bit of everything for everyone! It's close to both the sea and the mountains.  You can find nature in the parks and in the mountains, while still being very close to shopping and urban centers.

Shizuoka is also very conveniently located on the main Shinkansen train line, so getting to all of the main cities and tourist spots is easy!
